Typical airfare
 

We are looking to go to Hawaii next Oct and I wondered what was a typical rate from the midwest. We will be leaving from Kansas CIty. If anyone has any suggestions on how to get good airfare, I'd love to hear it. I usually dont book last minute since there is a group of 7 going.

I know you're concerned about waiting, but there will be fare sales for next fall in June and July. October is low season, so you will be able to get really good (relatively) fares. I'm not sure about Kansas City, but from Chicago, for this fall, we were able to get tickets for about $550. That said, I would grab anything less than $600 no matter when it was.
