Roy’s will do takeout.

Beware low-end sushi We had a Hep A outbreak a year or so ago traced to a chain of sushi restaurants using imported scallops from a foreign supplier.

Thanks for your suggestion. I cannot patronize Roy's anymore as the current ownership are Trump donors and prior to that were Christie donors. Next suggestion!

The Hawaii restaurants (owned by Roy Yamaguchi) have different ownership than the mainland locations.

While I know that is true for the Hawaii Kai Roy's, I am not sure it is true for the Waikiki Roy's-branded location. Still, how is a concerned consumer to know every proprietor's political leanings? Is there a list somewhere?

My understanding is that it is all Hawaii locations, plus Pebble Beach, CA.

....And, there's an app for that! (Not sure how to go about finding out about restaurants).

Hey guys,

Any good recommendations for Kailua? I see there's a Nico's but heard it's not the same as the original.

Any food and price type is welcome as I just wanna eat good local food.

Thank you.

Been a while since I've eaten there, but I used to really like Cactus.

If you want Italian, try Baci Bistro.

If you go on a Thursday night, there are some decent food options at the Farmers Market by the Whole Foods; The Pig and the Lady is often there. We used to like Prima (one parking lot over by the Foodland) a lot but our last time there was kinda "meh"

FYI - Alan Wong's is closing up shop permanently on the King St. location on Oahu. That's a pretty big bummer.
