The Beach is Back Again in Kaanapali!
I was looking at the live webcams last night and the beach is nice and wide again, especially in front of the Ali'i. Did they dump tons of sand there or is this a natural occurance?
I had heard earlier that the beach erosion usually ceases in November, but what a beach it is again. |
FWIW, this was the original thread of when FT found out the beach at Ka'anapali was receeding.

I believe beach erosion in HI begins in November, not ends then. FWIW the Hawaii isles are expecting big storms this week along with some beach erosion.

Oh, I hate those Kona storms! We were there in November a couple of years ago and endured three days of torrential rain. The ceilings and roofs were caving in at our hotel. I was scared to leave my room for fear that another ceiling would fall. Everywhere was flooded and the water was a chocolate brown for the remainder of our stay.
