HNL Left Luggage.

There is a service which comes and picks up your bags at the airport and takes them away to a nearby site for storage. Sorry I don't have the link but some googling should yield the name and details.

I seem to recall that the service KARFA mentioned is on the HNL website. It looks a little dodgy but I'm reliably informed that it is legit (I have never used it).

What mode of transportation do you plan for a "quick tour"?

Are you arriving international and then transferring to domestic? If on the same ticket, you can recheck your bags within the customs area. As you pass through customs, go to your left just before exiting the area.

I've used ALOHA AIRPORT DELIVERY AND STORAGE twice now - look really suspect, but have provided a good service both times.

Tried it folks and it worked. Picked up the receiver and a guy showed up and took my bag and disappeared at 13:00. At 19:00 he returned with my bag and took $20. Happy days. Quick check of my bag to ensure nothing was planted in there and I was happy.

HNL baggage storage options?

I’m flying in on a Friday, arriving 9:10 pm (SW # 1284) Departing the next day on HA at 7:45p.m. (flight 553).

In this case, is there any way to either check a bag at the airport early, or somewhere where I can securely leave it, so I don’t lug it around the city for a day? (I'll have a car, but looking for convenience.)

While baggage storage is available at HNL, it looks like it closes at 9pm.

Thanks jerry. If I get in early and/or can get there in time, maybe I'll drop bags off. Otherwise, will just have to keep in the rental car.

Make sure that you park you car in secure lots. Never open up your trunk at a place you are parking your car unless you are removing all your items. Property theft in Hawaii is a problem, and unfortunately tourists are targeted. And, make sure there is nothing visible in the car's interior.
