New QR code for agricultural form

Flying today LAX to HNL.

New QR code for web based agricultural form.

Takes about the same time.

No more "Hey, Russell! Get pen?" :D

I've used this a few times now when flying United back to HNL. It's long overdue. It does take about the same about of time as filling out the paper form (well, that's assuming you only filled out the mandatory side of the paper form and had nothing to declare, but some newcomers thought that both sides were required), but still much more convenient and as touched on already eliminated the need for pen sharing, etc.

Found out about this while in the air on an AA flight, and that was only because I asked the FA around an hour before landing what happened to the forms.

I'll say that they were advertising the heck out of the forms when at the departure gates for United during my recent travels. And the advertising didn't stop as folks were getting settled onto the plane. Worst case I hope you were able to fill the form out when the plane was taxiing to the gate in Hawaii!

Indeed. Filled it out as plane was taxiing to gate (instead of enjoying the nice Hawaii scenery which I would have much preferred). When the door opened, they made an announcement that there would be someone checking at the terminal exit for proof that it had been completed (which turned out was not the case at all).

I suspect there were some gate announcements since I heard some chattering from AA gate lice about QR codes as I was boarding, but my total time in the gate area was no more than a minute or so, and I didn't hear any announcements from AA staff during that time.

They should have made an announcement on the plane during boarding, and/or perhaps even send an email beforehand with a link to the form.

Electronic Agriculture Arrival Forms

I know they've been rolling out, and my most recent HA flight used these (with a QR code at the mainland gate). An AS flight a few months ago was paper. Are they now all airlines, all islands, all arrivals?

I was *just* looking this up for a flight next week. According to Akamai Arrival | Hawai’i Digital Agriculture Form Flight Listing, it looks like all flights on Alaska/Hawaiian, America, Delta, and Southwest now support this. But on United, only flights to Honolulu from either Chicago, Houston, Denver, LA, or SF currently support it.

Delta has a handy link when I view my reservation on the app.

When I checked my bags in at JFK last month, the DL agent reminded me of the need to complete the form and at the gate there was a big banner with a QR code to the site, plus numerous pre-boarding announcements.

DL has a big sign up with a QR code at the LAX gate but I don't recall any announcements (although I arrived about 10 minutes prior to boarding).
