Does HNL have expedited customs?

Hi there,

Is there an expedited customs service available for non-US citizens arriving to HNL ffrom an international flight?

Also how long does customs take to clear typically in HNL?

It's called Global Entry: https://www.cbp.gov/travel/trusted-t...s/global-entry

Other than extremely limited situations such as the Private Suite at LAX, the United States doesn't have expedited Immigration and Customs options for pay like those available in some other countries.

Sorry, but other than Global Entry, there is no fast-track service in HNL that I’ve ever heard of in my decades-long residency here.

While I’ve been using Global Entry for many years, I don’t think the normal lines are that long, certainly not like those I’ve experienced in major cities like Tokyo, etc.

If you have a disability, let your airline know well in advance that you need assistance after landing.

Thanks for the advice.
Good to know the normal lines are not that long.

This is not going to help the OP, but HNL does allow US citizens/permanent residents to use the mobile app: https://www.cbp.gov/travel/us-citize...ssport-control

May streamline immigration entry just a little, so not entirely accurate to say that there is no fast-track service at all at HNL.

I'm pretty sure that holders of the APEC business travel card get expedited service.

MPC (Mobile Passport Control) had opened up to allow people with Visa Waivers entrants to use.

When I landed in Hawaii there was a huge snaking line which we where told would take 1-1.5 hours to clear.

Luckily I used MPC and went straight to the front of the line. Only one other passenger was waiting to use this line.

I must say I felt pretty smug cutting the long line.

There were a heap of luggage taken off the carousels for waiting passengers stuck at security.
