Maui Discounts

We are heading to Maui in two weeks. Below are a list of activities we are planning. Please reply if you know any discount coupons/cards/books/etc or just any tricks. Thanks!

- Haleakala Park
- Tedeschi Vineyards
- Trilogy Catamaran – trips for both Lanai and Molokini
- Tropical Plantation
- Whale Watching – Pacific Whale Foundation – West
- Pools of Oheo

We are also looking through the thread about Helicopter tours, so I won't ask for a suggestion on a company, but I will ask for a suggestion on if any of the companies have particular coupons/discounts.

Thanks in advance!

The easiest way to get discounts at the various places is to pick up any of the numerous tourism guides that are free at the airport, or in any supermarket or car rental facility on the island. All of the places that offer discounts advertise them in these guides.

The largest discounts - up to getting free Helicopter or Whale Watching trips for 2 people, tend to come with the large string attached of attending a timeshare presentation - which, IMHO, is a waste of your precious vacation time.

Haleakala is a National Park, so if you have a yearly pass or want to buy one, you can go to any National Park thereafter. By the way, make sure to take warm jackets up the mountain. Not kidding.

Pacific Whale Foundation has great trips.

And DON'T waste time with time share bozos. Life is far too short.

One book I read 10 years back said to call them directly and ask for a discount or you will buy from one of the many ticket resellers that takes a huge chunk of the revenue.
