The hotel is already booked. Staying at the Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort so thanks for that suggestion. ^

And where are some good places to meet girls espeically the asian and local girls? I'm in my 20's and could really meet a girl :D :p

Older and married here, but from lots of visits to Waikiki. . . where you are staying at the OWB - Dukes Beach Bar and Patio from our observations is a place where the party singles mingle, particularly in the evenings. Also, the Tiki Bar and Grill terrace bar (Aston Waikiki Beach Hotel) always seems busy at night with a similar crowd and live music. Have fun.

Dukes is one main reason I picked the Outrigger Waikiki. I can't wait to check it out. ^

Something fun and cheap. Drive into diamond head. You can hike up to the top. Great views. Cost to park but if you walk in, then it's free. http://www.tripadvisor.com/Attractio...hu_Hawaii.html

Actually, it is nearly free: It costs a dollar for a pedestrian.

Yes, Tantalus is a great drive. Be sure to pull off at lookout. Impressive view of Honolulu!

Thanks gang for the hiking suggestion. I'm not sure I would fancy hiking, but i'll consider it nonetheless if there is nothing else to do. How long is the hike?

Moving back to my questions above, is it worth going to a luau especially if its my first time going to Hawaii and I'm single or I should just skip it?

And where are some good places to meet girls especially the Asian and local girls? I'm in my 20's and could really meet a girl.

Be careful when hiking. It is not unusual to read of someone falling and getting killed. One of the better and more reasonable luaus is at the Hale Koa military hotel. Officially you have to be military, etc. I am not but my son is. They never asked for his or my ID when I paid. You could always ask a friendly face to help you.

Try Googling. For example:

Tried and currently using Tinder, no luck. Liked more than hundreds of girls already I assume. :td:

Are there restaurants nearby the Hyatt Regency in Maui? Any Asian restaurants and Mcdonalds nearby? We don't eat seafoods, will that be a challenge?

Thanks

Does 'nearby' equal within walking distance of the hotel, or within driving distance? If the former, there are a bunch of resorts nearby where you can probably hotel-hop and find restaurants within. If you're driving, Lahaina is close by, so you'll have plenty of dining options.

It's a shame about no eating seafood :( - Hawaii does it pretty well - but you'll have no problem finding places that serve meat dishes as well. You'll probably need to ignore a decent chunk of the menu, though. As for cuisine types, Hawaiian food is an amalgamation of a lot of different Asian cultures - so that should be no problem. Whatever you do, though, please don't eat McDonald's on the island! Why eat what you can get anywhere else in the world in paradise? :)

Also depends on how you define walking distance. There is a boardwalk that runs along the beach, and there are several restaurants as you get close to Whalers Village. I didn't mind the walk from the Hyatt.

Also, I had some good Singapore crab at one of the Hyatt restaurants.
