It looks like are saying ALL airlines charge at least a $150 fee. Can you be more specific. TIA.
I don't know of a single airline that flies from the mainland US to the Islands who does not charge a change fee on all restricted fares.
While not allowing free changes on restricted fares, AS does have a Guaranteed Airfare program... here's an older thread on the program, and AS' own GARR page. It gives you a credit that can be used towards new airfare, and needs to be booked within a year. But no change fees involved, and most likely shows up instantly online. It does reset any waitlistings for upgrades though.

And unless flying from a market such as Alaska with limited capacity, it probably is a bit early to book unless its a smokin' deal.
