Relationship between go! Express and Mokulele?
From Mokulele's FAQ page:
When flights are full, Mokulele Airlines and go! Express reserves the right to stow Carry-On Baggage in the cargo compartment of the aircraft. Carry-on baggage may be limited further by aircraft type or storage availability. go! Express operates the Cessna Grand Caravan on routes to or from KOA or OGG, JHM and HNL. Your checked in baggage should be no more than 45 linear inches, or 9"x14"x22" (L+W+H), and weight no more than 50 pounds. Codeshare? Mokulele now offering o/w flights starting at $45. |
Let's move this to the Hawaii-based Airlines forum since both Mokulele and go! are Hawaii-based Airlines.
Thanks, slippahs nwa forum co-moderator :mod hat off: Yes, go! and Mokulele have a code-share arrangement. With Mokulele's expansion, who knows how much longer that'll last... |
I'm not sure if this is the best thread to post this in, but five days ago, I flew from MKK to OGG for my flight back to the mainland later that day. Having tickets on Mokulele, I was very surprised when we were called to board a Cessna that had go! plastered all over it. While walking out to the plane, I asked a Mokulele worker why we were flying go!, and she said "we own the plane." After we landed, I asked the first officer about it, and he mentioned that Mokulele and go! had an agreement, but it would end in April. My poor memory is somewhat faded now about the details the first officer mentioned, so that's about all I recall. It just seemed weird. There must be some thread here that I missed where others have mentioned this, but my novice searches have failed me...
As an aside, we were treated to a wonderful flight with a great view of Kalaupapa, the cliffs, and Halawa valley. Stayed on Maui for about eight hours before heading back to the mainland. That was long enough! (though I should add that I had stayed on Maui a couple days two weeks previous). riftime |
