Question regarding receiving HA shared miles

I'm trying to set it up so that I can receive some HA miles. I was denied a BofA credit card. All I see left is to visit HI, and open a checking account. Great way to see the islands, seems a bit of overkill to accompish the task. :)

BofA said no to a $100 credit limit, and didn't appear to offer a pre-paid card. Ideas?

open a bank of HI credit card. Even if you are not a Hawaii resident, you can still get this card.

I was under the impression that the Bank of HI credit card is a BofA-branded card. And that route has been removed ([I]see OP/I]).

Nope. See here. Bank of Hawaii is not part of BofA.

I suppose it's possible that if BofA wouldn't approve you for the credit card, Bank of Hawaii won't either, but the program does at least exist, so it's worth a shot.

The BOH card is administered by FIA card services(BofA). But I'm not sure who does the credit approval.
