Aloha!! I know they restrucutred FF Progran on AQ. Did not qualify for status this year, but understand AQ will let you pay to join. Does anyone know if this can be done over the phone? --Or, must it be done at the airport.

I think your best bet at getting your answer is calling AQ and checking.

BTW: 2004 is the last year you can pay for Ali'i status.

Thanks, slippahs. Do you know if HA is following AQ? Have they announced if they will stop allowing pax to purchase status of lowest tier?

That's a good question. I haven't heard any insider information but I believe that since AQ is making thier FF Elite program more like HA's, HA has no intention to change their program. But, that's speculation... and as we both know, the interisland carriers have a way of copying each other (except HA's refusual to offer $59 fares).
