Hawaiian/HP codeshares: Can I upgrade?

America West has a number of flights on 767's to Hawaii operated by Hawaiian. As an HP Gold, am I eligible for 1st-class upgrades? The rule with other airlines seems to be "If it involves HI, the answer is no", so I'm wondering. I had no trouble last year scoring upgrades on CO when they were a CO partner.

As also answered in the HP forum: No. Unfortunately, there are no reciprocal elite benefits in the HA-HP partnership. No upgrades, no pre-boarding, no elite check-in, no preferred seating, no elite security line – nada.
