HA Codeshare JAL choose seats
 

Has anyone got experience with a HA code share that is operated by JAL?

I tried both PNRs and could not pull up the flight on JAL website to choose seats

On HA website it of course says it cannot be done

Hello! I made an account just for this as I was going through this exact situation.

If you have a codeshare flight with Hawaiian, but it is operated by JAL, the Hawaiian Airlines Call Center should be able to assign the seats for you.

I actually did this through the mobile app and at first the person insisted that HA was not able to select seats. They even told me to to contact JAL.

However, according to their Japanese website, it is Hawaiian who selects seats for you.

After showing this line and the link to the website the representative on the HA App was able to then confirm that they could select seats. It even shows up on my itinerary and on the Hawaiian Airlines website.
