Baggage Fees for HA/AA Code Share?
 
We are flying KOA-HNL-ORD. KOA-HNL is on HA and a code share flight with AA. HNL to ORD is AA and in Premium Economy (we are also AA Platinum Pro) which includes one free checked bag.
Do we have to pay HA baggage fees for the KOA-HNL segment?

Presuming that you are on a single ticket KOA-ORD with only a connection at HNL, the baggage allowance will be the allowance of the marketing carrier of the first segment.

Thus, marketing carrier is all that matters, with no reference to operating or codeshare.

That allowance will also apply to any return or onwards segments as well.
