Does Hawaiian Airlines Charge for Emergency Exit Row Seating?

My 'usual' airlines (AA and Alaska) open up exit row seating if available for no charge at T-24. Does Hawaiian Airlines also do that or is the fee for 'extra comfort' charged?

Mahalo!

I have no idea about HA, but AA and AS no longer open exit row seating at T=24 to non-elites.

If it's classified as an extra comfort seat, it will never open up for free. Elites may get "upgraded" into it, but only at the gate.

AS still does, at least as of a couple of months ago. Not sure about AA, haven't flown them in a while since I moved to the PNW. Don't fly HA often enough (sadly!) to know their policies. It does seem that they overstate the benefits of the Extra Comfort (i.e. all main cabin seats get free meal and entertainment on the app I think). But the extra legroom would be nice so maybe it's worth the $80.
