HA premier qualifying earning

Can anyone confirm that mainland flights with a layover earn the miles of each segment? E.g., SFO-HNL with layover at OGG would earn 2,836 premier qualifying miles (2,336 SFO-OGG and 500 OGG-HNL as a platinum) rather than 2,397 (SFO-HNL).

Website does state "* Connecting flights for Transpacific travel would be counted as per segment." but the FAQ only has an inter-island example. TIA and sorry if covered elsewhere; I couldn't find it.

Yes you earn miles per segment so for your flights it would be 2 segments with 2,336 for SFO-OGG and 500 for OGG-HNL with a total of 2,836 miles. The 500 miles per interisland segment applies only if you are Premier Club, Gold, or Platinum. With no status miles gained for interisland is the distance for that route.

Also if you have a ticket going from neighbor island to neighbor island with a connection through HNL. You may only gain 500 miles even though you flew 2 segments which you would think would get you 1,000 miles. This happened to me last year, but I never bothered to ask and clarify if that was correct.
