Tight HNL connection
Booked Lax-Hnl-Lih on a paid F ticket. Due to my schedule I had to take the 6pm out of Lax and connects to the last flight out to Lih with a 45 min connection time. Iam very familiar with the airport so I realize it's no more than 5-10 min walk however if we land late and if I miss my connection what will HA do? Put me up in hotel for the night?

HA's policy for acommodations is the same as most US carriers. If the delay is within HA's control, e.g. mechanical, it will provide a voucher or reimburse you a reasonable amount. Otherwise, e.g. weather, ATC, you are on your own and should make a claim against your travel interruption insurance.

True that. I catch HA9 every now and then and they do a good job of making sure guests are accommodated from holding the last flight to even asking everyone on HA9 to remain seated upon arrival to kindly allow connecting guests to get off the plane first so they can get to the gates. This happened to me once after a delayed departure from LAX...about a half hour before landing in HNL, the lead FA asked everyone who was connecting to the interisland flights to raise their hand. He then asked everyone else to look around for those who have their hands raised and to kindly remain seated once the jet arrived at the gate to first let those off who had connections. Thankfully, pretty much everyone did so and I was very thankful since I was on the last LIH flight along with about 8 others from HA9.
