Unable to upgrade HA booked on B6 Points

I booked into economy on HA using B6 points, when I tried to call HA to upgrade into first using HA miles, they told me they are unable to upgrade flights booked through jetblue. This is strange cause it books into fare class V. But aparently they can see its a jetblue ticket and you can't upgrade.

Anyone ever gotten an upgrade to stick after using TrueBlue points?

No airline allows you to use miles to upgrade award tickets. You may be able to get a new first class award for the difference in points between what you paid and the first class cost, but you would need to use TrueBlue points to do this as you can't use different mile/point currencies to pay for a single award.

Bottom line, there's no way to do what you're attempting.
