Class Z (In what class is International Economy Comfort booked as?)

In what class is International Economy Comfort booked as? I recently flew SYD-HNL and it showed up Z class.

Extra Comfort is not a separate fare class. You book into of the standard coach classes. "Z" class would be a ticket booked with frequent flyer miles.

That's very interesting.

I actually purchased the tickets through American Express travel where I used cash, my $400 AMEX travel credit and some membership rewards points. There were no frequent flyer miles used.

That's a shame. Z class doesn't earn any miles or status credit.

I'm wondering if AMEX travek might have made the error in the booking class used. As I had included my Virgin Australia FF number in the booking, I've emailed VA about the matter.
