Would my seat be a front cabin coach seat or a first class seat?
There's no business class according to

(unless the coach-looking seats in front cabin bigger somehow???)
Are those front cabin coach seats any bigger than back cabin?
Do they lie any flatter for sleeping?
Or am I totally wrong? Please advise -- appreciated!!

HA International Flights do not have 'First Class' - they are considered 'Business Class.' The first three rows of seats are nowhere close to the First Class product offered by the bigger carriers, so that's why they're referred to as Business Class. The SeatGuru map is correct, just the labeling is wrong.

The seats up front have a bigger pitch and a bigger width and have a footrest. They don't lie flat.

Just so I understand correctly before I commit:

although they are not 1st class standard, they are
by far, more roomy & "sleepable" than rows 4 & higher?

Yes.

They are significantly more roomy, i.e., you are getting 14-15 inches of additional leg room than in economy class. However, the seats are still hard to sleep on and HA's pillows are very small. Hopefully someone from Product Development will make the case to get lie-flat seats in the near future.

Doubtful for the 330s. Maybe for the 350s if the 350s ever happen.

Don't be so quick to rule it out. I would imagine HAL is aware of the competition and is planning accordingly.

Did you book and fly in business? I would be really keen to hear how you found it - have some miles with HAL I would like to put towards this.

I believe this is a similar seat to what we just flew from Seoul to HNL then HNL to LAS.

It was dreadful for us. The flight from Seoul was just not great, but not so bad. Seats kind of sucked - seemed like such an old plane. Food was inedible (seriously - fish and kim chee, which I love, but it smelled up the whole cabin for a bit and was not good). Flight from HNL to LAS the flight attendants didn't shut the curtain and were laughing and talking so LOUD that I couldn't get any rest. They were the most unprofessional I have ever seen.

Sorry but I had to share our experience.

I must agree 1000%. When I fly HA, one portion of my trip is late evening and the other portion is an overnight. It is like they go OUT OF THEIR WAY to be obnoxiously loud. My favorite part of the flight is when they start to "prepare the cabin for landing" an hour prior to touchdown in Hawaii at 5am. There truly is no need to put the cabin lights on that far in advance. And I'm not exaggerating - It has been 45-70 minutes EVERY time I take one of their red-eye flights. It's a shame, they clearly fake their Aloha and the Mahalo's at the end of the flight. :td: :td:
