Much Higher FC Fares on HA Since Computer Upgrade Last Week
I had been watching for several weeks HA's FC fares from OAK/SJC to OGG in October. Looked like they had some decent R/T fares around $900 that have been around for a long time. However, since their "computer upgrade" last week, the fares have jumped between $1400-2000. It could be a glitch in the new system or a specific intent to match AS's FC fares which have always been higher Any thoughts?

I've noticed this too. The fares seem to drop to normal levels at the end of August so maybe the fare increase is due to peak summer travel.
I've also noticed that they've introduced a new "C" fare bucket which seems to be higher than "A" but lower than "P" in the first class hierarchy. The web booking system doesn't seem to know what "C" class is yet as it cannot bring up a proper seat map for seat assignments. I had to book without seat assignments then call in to have them assign the seats in F over the phone. |
I have been waitng for fares SAN-LIH to drop below $600 for mid-September. This will be our first trip to Hawaii and I'm sure hoping that I can catch a fare sale. Am I being realistic?

All of the 17,500 mile super saver reward tickets from JFK disappeared too. The lowest it shows is now 25,000 one way. Hopefully that change isn't permanent.

I've never been able to book a 35k award. I go through to purchase, and get an error that refers me to tech support. They insist that someone else purchased it the same time as me(though passenger controls suggest otherwise). Every. Single. Time.
I was hoping the computer 'upgrade' would fix this, but it sounds like it's just made it worse. |
