HA Coach Plus vs. First Class

Do the First Class seats get the same benefits as Coach Plus? Mostly interested in same day standby and waive of change fees. (As I understand it, these are the benefits for Coach Plus.) I'm booking tickets for several interisland flights during our trip in April 2011. Don't mind spending extra for first class seats, but worried we will still have to pay change fee if our mainland flight is delayed. Any suggestions would be welcome. Thank you!

It depends if you pay the full First Class fare or a discounted First Class fare. The website does let you see the fare rules during the booking process. I suggest that you take a look. Another option is to use Travelocity's flexible fare search (specifying First Class and HA) and look at the detailed fare rules there.

Thank you! I did call HA customer service last night. They said only coach plus offered the same day standby and no change fee. These were the two benefits I was interested in. First class does offer a bigger seat (hardly an issue on a 30 min flight) and free bags ($27 for 2 bags.) I decided it wasn't worth twice the cost and purchased coach plus. I'll repost after our trip in April if I find out different information.:D

Good to know... I definitely have seen penalties on some F fares, but didn't know if it was ALL F fares or not. The Coach Plus fare is a good product, if you think there's a chance that travel plans may change and you have 2 bags.

HA F fares make no sense. One would think that anything booked in paid F should have flexibility, but no, not with HA...

BTW, fare rules are available on the website:
http://help.hawaiianair.com/app/answ...20fare%20rules

This includes fare rules for the Coach Plus fares.
