Need advice for IBIZA

Hello,

I am going to be visiting a few places in Europe in Sept. I plan of flying to IBIZA for a 3 day weekend. Its my first time visiting IBIZA. I need some recommendations for reasonable priced hotels and points of interest for IBIZA. I want to stay near the gay beaches, clubs, and restaurants. Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks,

JWH

A couple years I went with my sister and stayed at the Bimbi Hostel-- info at http://ibizaboy.net/bimbi/ and http://www.hostalbimbi.com/en/index.htm . Place was clean and very well located in the town of Ibiza, a couple blocks from the water, a couple blocks from a grocery store, walking distance to the central part of the city, and maybe a 10 min. bus ride from the airport. Note that many hotels are in San Antonio, which is about a 30 min. bus ride away and pretty much populated by British tourists--- looking for more local flavor, I opted for the Ibiza side of the island. Buses link Ibiza with the nightclubs around the island-- service is about hourly overnight, and more often during the day.

Let me know if you'd like more info. While the trip wasn't focused on gay life per se (but was more of a pilgrimage for my sister to see Paul Van Dyk in his natural habitat) I can't comment on the gay beach or clubs, but overall I found the people there pretty open.

VJ- also in Phoenix
