New York City Question
I am traveling with a friend to NYC mid May. We are staying midtown (E 40th & Lexington) and would like to know if there are any fun gay venues in that area (e.g. bars, restaurants, clubs). We're willing to travel to the Village, but it would be nice if there is something nearby.

There are a few really great places crosstown in the 40s notably Barrage and Posh. Depending on what you're after though, you shouldn't need to go as far as the village (though it's really not that much of a hike in a cab). There's also Chelsea and the east village, just down the street.

Ex-New Yorker here. Check out www.hx.com for clubs, bars and other events. Can also be picked up all over town, but a look at the website should give you a good idea of what's happening on various nights.
