I don't know how full that weekend is for "mainstream" hotels, but take a look at www.biddingfortravel.com for Priceline bidding experiences. Appears you can get nice hotels for $40 or so. There aren't really many "gay" hotels other than the Hotel Selby right on Church St (may have changed).

there are 2 lovely B&Bs right in the gay village....1 near cawthra square, and the other on dundonald. but for pride weekend, don't think they'll be available.
the crowne plaza on yonge and alexander is probably the best located, but it might be full/pricy for your dates. the marriott in the eaton's center, and at yonge and bloor are also good choices.
i would definitely check out priceline for this weekend, though....
