I will be in Bali December 26-30, fifth out of the last six years to spend late December in Bali and nearby. It's crowded with tourists compared to other times of year, but still a fine time to go.

Keep in mind, it's rainy season during that time frame. Chances are mornings will be sunny, with rain frequent in the afternoon. I've been too Bali a few times during this time period: some trips sun the whole time, others didn't see sun once.
