Did you ever try this kind of shared accomodation?
Any risks?
There is a nice cruise departing from Rome and I was thinking about that....

Thanks a lot, I'll consider it, maybe it could be a nice experience to try.
Even if I am not a classical "gym boy"....like those showed on their website

You might want to check out https://www.bearcruises.com/

Bears are a lot more fun. We did a lot of the RSVP cruises in the 90's (Atlantis bought them in 2007) and we kind of got tired of the snooty pretty boy stuff. If I ever went again, it would be on Chumley's.

FWIW there were tons of bears on the January cruise. In fact I'd say it was a broad spectrum of people and age groups.

Don't worry.
While there are some gym boys, the Atlantis crowd is very diverse in terms of age and body types.

We took an Alaskan cruise out of Seattle and there were lots of bears and we didn't really notice much drug use.

Watch the documentary " Dream Boat". Follows a gay cruise. Sad and emotionally painful. Reaffirmed that a gay cruise is definitely not our scene.

I tried watching "Dream Boat", but gave up after about 30 minutes. It was depressing and nothing like the cruises we've taken.

go on the cruise, then watch the movie, then tell us what you thought.

don't try to sabotage your desire to go on the cruise. Life is too short
if the cost is not prohibitive for you, do it. Just my 2 cents
