I'll never forget driving a BMW on A95 under heavy snowfall. Car was going wherever it wanted;) |
Snow is not the worst you have to worry about. Black ice is far more dangerous and far more likely in December than snow. It can happen out of nowhere at night, in the morning, on bridges, on exposed hills... The Autobahn is usually treated quickly when ice occurs, but you may be in front of the gritters. Secondary roads have secondary priority in clearing. You must have winter tyres.
The very worst of all is icy rain but this happens once or twice per year, so you'd be extremely unlucky to hit that day. |
