FRA Connection
Flying SFO-FRA-CDG Thursday. How is the connection in FRA? I have about 2:15 between flights.

You shouldn't have any problem.
|
I've done it with as little as 45 minutes, Intl to Intl cxns.

FRA connection - 2:15 should be fine
There is a thread or two on the miles and more (LH) forum, but 2:15 should be fine even on a bad day. Navigating FRA can always be a little bit of a headache, but I'd say a little over an hour is generally fine. I've made connections that were just over 30 minutes due to delay and even one of the two bags made that connection too (a bike box, nonetheless).
|
I do this all the time. Unless something goes terribly wrong, you'll have plenty of time to fall asleep in the lounge or at the gate and miss your connection!
|
let me just say, if you at some point find yourself following directions to another terminal, and everyone is going through a doorway to stairs, where the door looks like it's more suited to a janitor's closet -- take the elevator.

Not a problem, you have plenty of time. Your bags are automatically transferred so no need to go to baggage claim. Last time I did this route, we couldn't get our FRA>CDG BP at SFO, so went to the LH (Lufthansa) Senator Club, showed our *G and UA BP for entrance, and then they issued the FRA>CDG BP at the main desk. Easy.
Just keep a copy of your whole Itinerary on your person in case you need to cross any security (ie Terminal 1 to Terminal 2, etc) before you get that BP. |

I think you'll even have time for a shower!

I'm taking a trip between ORD-FRA-FCO and then going back FCO-MUC-ORD. I've got 1:25 connecting time is FRA, so I'm not concerned. However I only have 40 minutes for connecting in MUC. Is that going to be a problem?
|
Look to the FRA connection thread and the MUC connection thread over in the M&M forum for details.

Munich is a very convenient airport and 40 minutes a plenty of time. |
I have a feeling I'll be fine in MUC. If I have any problems, I'm hoping it's at MUC. I also have a relatively short connection at ORD to a get home. I think I would rather be stuck at MUC. I've been stranded at ORD enough times.
