Munich Terminal 1 (non-*A) Lounges

I'll be transiting through Munich later this month, arriving on Delta from the US and continuing on Turkish to Istanbul. I've got Priority Pass and would like to use one of their lounges (persumably the Atlantic one) to clean up and shower after the Delta flight. (The Delta lounge doesn't have showers.)

It looks like DL arrives in module B, and the Atlantic lounge is in module C. Will I be able to get from one module to the other? Any traps to avoid so I don't up on the wrong side of security?

Since I already have Priority Pass I'd rather not pay for the showers in the central area or the Kempinski spa.

Also, will I need to clear immigration in MUC, or is there a Terminal 1 to 2 transfer?

Thanks!

There is a bus service between the terminals that lets you move between the two, but I'm not sure if you need to clear immigration first. I think you do in order to use it.

There is a small AF lounge, but it does not have a shower. I believe the LH lounge does have showers, but you would need to see if your priority pass allows you to use the lounge.

Don't know how much time you have in Munich, but the Train station Munich HBF has showers. use the S-1 0r S-8 to the city (50min)

Let me cross-calculate:

50 minutes to the city + 50 minutes from the city + walking to/from the gates to/from the S-Bahn + waiting for the S-Bahn (20 min. max.) + buying ticket + immigration + security + shower > 4 hours minimum

Munich is a great place to be (I used to live there for more that 10 years :D), but I honestly would not recommend to go downtown for a shower.

No access to the LH lounges with a priority pass, I'm afraid.

Yeah, that's too bad since I'll be departing from T2.

I'm leaving in a few days, so I'll report back how easy it is to move between areas in T1.

Srooge, Just found this

Munich Airport
Would you like to freshen up after a hard day? Then drop in to our modern shower facilities in the Central Area, Level 03 or in Terminal 2 in the public area.
Showers are located...
... in the Central Area next to the Service Center (for men)
... in the Central Area next to the parking office (for women)
... in Terminal 2 (Level 03), public area
Towels, shower gel, etc.
... are available from a vending machine in the Central Area.

This was very easy to do. For future reference:

Upon exiting the plane ın T1 follow the signs directing you to connections/transfers in T2. For Delta, this meant turning right when getting off the plane and heading towards the C gates, rather than following everyone else to immigration. Eventually you will clear security again (no liquids, so don't buy duty-free in the US) and go downstairs to the T1 international departure area, where you can access the lounge.

There is a T1-T2 bus that runs every 15 minutes; you do not need to clear immigration. Follow the same route as above.

The Priority Pass lounge in T1, by the way, was quite nice, with a particularly clean and spacious shower room.

I'll be arriving LH791 SIN-MUC and continuing LH3110 MUC-HEL, both on T2.

I have Priority Pass so I would like to use lounge(s) in T1. I sent email to MUC airport and they told me it's impossible and I should use lounges in T2.

Could someone confirm is there any BP check when transferring between terminals on airside bus/train ? I couldn't find any info about that transfer on MUC website.

In May 2008, I did not have to show a boarding pass to ride the bus. Since you are going from secure area to secure area, it is assumed that your travel documents are in order.

Danke etch5895 ^

That's how it should work, I was surprised they told me otherwise. I'll report on March what happens. That is such long flight I'll be tired and disappointed if no lounge access with this expensive card.

Let me clarify something, though. You will need to clear passport control before doing this, but that shouldn't be a problem as you are connecting to a Schengen flight, so you would need to do this anyway before getting on your connecting flight. When I did this, I was going from a Schengen LH flight in T2 (G-Hall) to a Schengen IB flight in T1. How much time is there between your flights? It may be quicker just to walk, and frankly after sitting on the plane for that long of a flight, you may want to walk it!
