4 hours in FRA
I'm flying from JFK to Berlin via Frankfurt, LH business class both ways.
To Berlin, I have a 4 hour layover in FRA in the very early hours of the morning. Other threads suggest that my time would be best spent in the Welcome lounge, is that correct? On the return trip, I also have a 4 hour layover in FRA, from 1pm until 5pm. What should I do with myself? Which lounge? Any other fun to be had at the airport? |
Since the topic of 'What to do in FRA for x hours' is more about FRA (ie Germany) than LH M&M, I'm moving this to the Germany forum, where we have plenty of threads and ideas on the topic already.

There's also a casino (or two) in FRA. And there is a currency exchange on the 3rd level near gate A60 (or somewhere close). |
I can second the previous poster. The breakfast in the Business lounge is meager. Much better in the new arrival lounge

Take a train ride
Take a train ride, go to downtown, enjoy a good German meal and take a train back to the Airport. Can do in 4 hours!

My wife and I arrive FRA on LH from IAD at 7:50 am and leave on LH to VCE at 12:20 pm. We are flying first class to FRA and business class (European style) on to Venice.
We have never been in FRA. With just 4.5 hours and carry-on luggage to contend with we will likely stay at the airport. We are arriving and departing Terminal 1. I suspect we will be served breakfast on the flight around 6 am or so. I know we have access to the First Class lounge but have no idea what it offers. I'll do some searched on that. we will want to have lunch before we leave FRA. My wife loves looking in (fingers crossed here) shops, particularly those unique to the area. We usually drag our carry-ons with us as we explore an airport. Is there a safe (locked) place to leave them in the lounge or elsewhere? Any advice as to what to do will be appreciated. |
