Munich Hotel
I need a business hotel in Munich that has a quality, English-speaking concierge and all the usual amenities... would prefer to be closer to the park, but doesn't really matter. Not looking to spend over 350euro...
thanks! |
Most of the big chains (Hilton, Sheraton, Marriott) should have what you are looking for.
|
For 350EUR you can have your pick of most every hotel in Munich.
|
Park? Do you mean the English Garden or the Arabellapark up in Bogenhausen or the Olympia Park?
|
If you want 'park' in the hotel's name go for the "Hilton Munich Park" ;)
|
The Hilton Tucher Park is fine but if you don't have a car, it's not that convenient.
The Hilton City Center is literally on top of the Rosenheimerplatz S-bahn station. I personally prefer the Hilton C.C. HTSC |

Recommendations in city center / Marienplatz?
I too would appreciate anecdotes / suggestions for hotels in Muenchen's city center / Hauptbahnhof / Marienplatz area. My wife and I will spend 4 nights / days in Muenchen and want something with an elevator and ensuite rooms. Our preferred budget is closer to 200EU/night. Where did you and your spouse enjoy staying? :D
Thanks Michael |
If you're looking or a hotel near the train station check the intercity hotel which is inside the train station or le meridien accross the road. From the train station it's a nice walk to marienplatz. Lot of malls and shops. I think munich is one of the safest cities in europe.

Almost any hotel in Munich will feature English speaking personnel. As another poster noted, it is VERY easy to find English speaking people in Germany. In West Germany almost anyone under 40 should speak English well enough to communicate with you quite clearly. In the hotel business English is a given particularly in the chain hotels.

Yes, thatīs true.
Some of us even are able to communicate in written English :D I'd like to add that I said West Germany because in the Eastern states Russian has been taught in school instead of English. So people under 40 who grew up in that system will be less likely to speak English and more likely to speak Russian. Till |
Hotel bookings in Germany are best done through http://hrs.de with detailled information about all the different requirements you have. Depending on what you expect from a 'concierge' this will detemine your hotel type as well as if or if not you will have to go to a chain to get it.
