What is the history behind Koelsch bier being served in the small .2 liter glass in and around Koeln? Don't most people prefer a larger glass?

Since Kolsch is about the only German beer that I don't like I thing the 200cc glass is plenty big.

You might understand how hard it is to be a passionate beer drinker and live in or around Cologne.

It's to keep it fresh & cold. Since it takes all of about 30 seconds to get a refill, it's not that big a deal.
