Düsseldorf acommodation.
I'm moving on a project from Madrid to Düsseldorf and have a number of links for accommodation in Germany, some specific to Düsseldorf, but wonder if anyone has some more useful specific ones? I'm finding these particularly expensive.

Düssldorf is a relatively expensive city. Actually, Germany is a relatively expensive country, cost of living-wise. Düsseldorf is just one of the more expensive corners of an expensive country. I'm not surprised you're finding the prices high coming from Madrid.
As anywhere, location is the factor. Further away from Düsseldorf will get cheaper, and anywhere near the Rhein river will be pricey. |
e-rent seems to have good service - we're arranging a flat through them for 2 months. Very responsive to emails and phone calls.
The general guideline I've been told (on Flyertalk) is that you'll have to pay at least EUR600 to get something reasonable. We've chosen an attic apartment with sloping ceilings (low enough to be a problem at times) for EUR495. We can at least see what is wrong with this place and we know we can live with it! Check what floor the place is on and whether it has an elevator. Check carefully what area you need to be in - we needed to be near the trains. Audrey |
