suggestions for MUC hotel on Easter Monday

Folks- Reaching MUC 6AM on March 24 and will be there until 7AM the following day.

Asking for suggestions for hotel and things to do on Easter Monday (I take it is a statutory in Germany).

What places would be open that day?

Any idea if Munich Frauenkirche/ Schloss Neuschwanstein/ Dachau would be open that day for tours?

Thanks.

Did you do any research yourself? Regarding the hotel, you are not giving any helpful detailed information other than the date. So please, give us something to work with on the worst hand.
What did you research regarding your other questions?

I did and most of the sites I listed say (on their websites) they are open most days (except dacau which is closed mondays).

My question was will they be open on easter monday (which is a statutory holiday in germany) or closed. This information is not on their websites.

Thanks.

Where do you want to be with hotel? you give a large area to work with, so as already asked, please try and narrow it down for us. Do you plan to drive to those locations? or take a train? or bus? that will impact things. Also do you hope to do ALL that in one day? very ambitious if so

On any catholic/religious holiday I plan a driving day or outdoors day. For me that means a trip to Salzburg, or Linderhof, or a walk around Chiemsee. There are a few things open, but not much. I often end up 'dining' at the Irschenberg Autobahn reststop as they have a beautiful view and it is a good stopping point. Or I have a picnic lunch somewhere.

I like the Mandarian Oriental. The Le Meridien is a good hotel as well.

Apart from this two you'll find Hotels of all major hotel chains in Munich so it's up to you.

Most historic sights will be open over Easter.

Fearing that we have scared away the OP with our straightforward posting styles...

OP, you did not mention a price range. Do you have an approximate range with which we can work? As you can imagine it varies considerably. I would suggest that you give us a price range and location desired based on your plans, and we can better suggest!

Sorry I wasn't able to login since yesterday. Thanks for the suggestions. My travel agent's suggesting Hilton Munich Park hotel. I guess I will try that. It is about 17 miles from MUC.

Hopefully it will be good.

Vielen Dank.

Hey, I have good news for you. the Hilton Munich Park is actually pretty convenient if you want to go to the airport. The subway is stop is within five minutes walking distance.
If you want to stay at a Hilton, you might want to check out the Hilton Munich City which is right on top of the Rosenheimer Platz S-Bahn station. It's still calm but you are even closer to the airport if you want to take public transportation to there.

OP I am glad that we did not scare you away! It sounds like you are getting the hotel sorted (I don't recommend staying at/near MUC anyways unless one has a very early flight or needs to be in that area)

Can we now assist with the leisure plans? have you considered what you are going to do, and what mode of transport you will need?

(My Easter trip home just cancelled last night so I may need to live vicariously through you instead :D )
