1 Hour Transfer in FRA?
 
I have a friend traveling from SFO to FRA on United, then FRA to Madras on Lufthansa; they gave her only 1 hour to transfer in Frankfurt and she's concerned about making her flight. I'm more concerned about her baggage making the transfer.

Anyone have any experience with short transfers through Frankfurt and can comment on if she or I need not be worried?

I have successfully transferred in FRA in as little as 20 minutes and even my bags made it. If the plane is on time, I would not be overly concerned about the transfer. However, should the inbound plane be delayed more than 15 or so minutes, the situation can become a bit hairy.

SFO is normally early and there are plenty of pax connecting from the US to India. One hour in Frankfurt for an international connection should be sufficient for both, luggage and pax.
