Hotels in Kassel / Documenta
 

Hey all,

Documenta 12 has started and the time seems right for a visit. I have never been there before and have no clue where to stay. None of the mayor brands seem to be represented there, so I would really appreciate a recommendation for a more upscale place that's conveniently located.
Also, I would be happy about any hints how to get the best out of Documenta on a weekend (planning for a personalized tour on a Saturday) and suggestions for nice restaurants, etc.

I would consider the steigneberger IC Hotel. very nice place.

Bad Wilhelmshöhe
 

From someone who formerally lived in Kassel, I can recommend these. Both are 4-star near the castle, the museum, the bathhouse and the Wilhelmshoehe train station. You must visit the Kurbad bath-house no matter what.

Went with the Kurparkhotel as its conveniently located and looked nice (and had rooms available...).
