Is there anyone out there with knowledge of a
good car rental deal in FRA 8/5-8/19 besides
the "regular suspects"? Best I found was Dollar
at $ 600.00 for an economy car. Thanks for your
help.

$600 for two weeks in Germany is pretty good. I guess I'd take that offer. I just checked Europcar with my contract ID, and it was almost $700.

BTW: Ask for a diesel!

my company contract at SIXT offers 350€ / 480$ for a Volkswagen Golf for 2 weeks in august. So I can agree, that 600$ for a regular rental in Germany is absoltely okay - if CDW is included.

I find that www.expedia.de gives decent rates - I use that over Hertz and my company CDP as I can get a lower rate including CDW through expedia.de for the same vehicle, also from Hertz

I just returned an brand new AUDI A3 2.0TDI (Diesel) with GPS to Sixt. Price for 3 weeks was 535 Euros = 744 US$. Check Sixt for their special offers.

Thanks USAFAN, sixti nearly saved me but then I noticed
the 1400 km limit, so that's out, unfortunately. Sixt German
website shows best for two weeks at 443.00 euro plus 84
servicegebuehr, even though I clicked on the 150.00 per
week special. So that still comes up as $ 710.00, and that's
only for two weeks. Your three weeks price was quite a deal.
As I said I will keep trying. Thanks to all.

Today Sixt credited my LH M&M account with 500 + 1500 = 2000 Miles...used the "call before" (or so) feature from Sixt.
