Showers in MUC
 

Struck out on a FT search so...

Will be arriving in MUC next week on KLM. I see from the MUC airport website:

Showers are available in the Main Concourse next to the Service Center (for men) and next to the Parking Guidance Center (for women). More showers are available in the public section of Departure Area A, Level 05.
You can obtain towels, shampoo, etc. for a fee at the machine in the Main Concourse.

Location seems to be convenient on my way to car rental. Any experience with these - cost, wait time, cleanliness, etc?

I flew out of Munich on Monday. Didn't need to use the showers so I don't know what the cost would be but the exchange rate with the euro isn't going to make it real cheap. .

Judging by my experience at the airport - security lines were short and moved quickly so doubt if there would be much of a wait time, restrooms were clean ( as was the rest of the airport). Typical german efficiency & standards - wish all airports were like this.

If you have preferred status on *Alliance, the LH lounge has showers as well. I've never used them, but the bathrooms were very clean so I would imagine that the showers are as well.

No status *Alliance. Gold with NW along with a worldclub membership, so I can access the DL lounge and Atlantik, but I don't think I can get to them upon arrival from AMS. I land about 8:30 and have an 11:00 meeting an hour from MUC. I don't mind paying a few € if necessary. I've only got a little over an hour in AMS, so the options there are not good unless tail winds from DTW are kind.

I was in MUC last year and did check out the shower room which is on the landside of the arrival hall. It was free and the whole place was empty and you just walk right in. They got no amenity so you have to bring your own soap and towel. It is not secure and anybody can walk in so I didn't use it.
