Tryp Frankfurt Hotel?

I just Pricelined myself the Tryp Frankfurt Hotel for a night. It's located at Braunfelsstrasse 17 (Opelrondell).

I know nothing about Frankfurt (yet)... but can anyone tell me:

1) How to get to here from Hauptbahnhof? (I'll have no car).
2) How's the neighborhood? Is there anything around there?
3) Is there a public transport stop at/near that hotel?

Thanks.

I have seen the hotel and know the area well:
-The hotel is a little remote ... the new Radisson is nearby. When you come from the Autobahn to the city center, you would pass the hotel.
-There is nothing to do nearby...some commercial buildings....deserted at night with some (street) prostitute business going on; may be that ended. The Messe (fair) is not far away.
-I don't know of a tram that would go there. The tram goes to Messe. You may get a bus to the hotel. Hauptbahnhof is not too far, taxi should not be too expensive.

Look at Sol Melia's website, you may could have gotten a better price there (then through Priceline).

Could you please post which Priceline zone you bid in, and what star level this hotel is in? This would be very valuable information for future bids by others. Thanks for your help!

Thanks for the info. I'm arriving early morning, so maybe I'll do the walk to stretch out my legs and get a feel for the immediate area between Hauptbahnhof and Tryp.

Oh yes... it was a 3* in the East Area, got it for $45+ (~$60 all in)... so a small savings, but yes I lose out on miles.

I originally was going for 4*, but it wouldn't accept $67+. I actually figured I would get the Courtyard in the 3* level. Oh well, not severely disappointed, just not one of my better wins.

It's a little far to walk. But you can take the tram to Messe and then walk or take a bus.

I checked the Radisson website ... the Radisson is nearby:

"....Located next to the Frankfurt exhibition centre the Radisson SAS Hotel offers great highway links and is just a 15 minutes drive from Frankfurt International Airport.

The hotel is a few minutes walk from major companies such as American Express, Deloitte, ING Bank and several others within the business district City West.

Frankfurt fair exhibition centre, 10 minutes walking distance
Frankfurt International Airport (12 km), 15 minutes
Main station (3.5 km), 6 minutes
Highway exit "Westkreuz" (500 m), 2 minutes
Tram No 17 (350 m), 2 minutes walking distance
Metro station (1,1 km), 10 minutes walking distance
City centre and financial district (4 km), 10 minutes ...."
