Please do get that hotel if possible, it's an Olde World oasis of quality. You will certainly not have any specific acoustic trouble from the Cathedral but just have to accept that in a deeply Catholic city there is some church related activity going on.

That's good to hear. It's really the only hotel I'm considering because it's the only in Cologne with FHR/Virtuoso benefits.
