Connection time in Berlin airport

I'm flying from Belgrade to Dublin, connecting in BER at the start of March, Wizz air has changed the flight to Berlin giving us a 1hr 15 minute connection time. Would it be possible to make our flight home as we are going non Schengen to non Schengen?

Thanks in advance

Hmmm...BER is pretty big so it would depend on where the gates are as well as passport control. Are you on Wizz for both flights?

If so, you should be in Terminal 1 for both and probably are okay.

According to the wiki page for DUB it’s not an airport served by Wizz.

So is this on one ticket or more likely two separate ones on separate airlines?

if the latter then you aren’t connecting and will have no protection should you miss the BER-DUB flight.

also you won’t have 1 hr 15 mins to get to the DUB flight you’ll have that less the doors close time so less than an hour,

Should have stated the second flight is Ryanair and looks like it is also in terminal 1. Would we simply have to do passport control and that's it? Or have to go through security again?

Thanks for the replies.

On paper you don't have to do passport or security as you are not entering Schengen and Serbia's security is deemed equivalent to EU standards. However, Wizz arrivals and Ryanair are P2P operators who are not set up to look out for connecting passengers. Both use the same area at BER (the lowcost airline section aka T2) so you could theorectically deplane, walk into the building and over to the Ryanair gate. W2 from BEG seems to arrive in Z42/ Z44 and FR to DUB leaves from B42 / B44, so its literally the same gate area.

The BER homepage makes it sound like this isn't possible. "When arriving from the non-Schengen area at Terminal 2, you will have to leave the aviation security area and pass through security again." https://ber.berlin-airport.de/en/sel...ou/VIABER.html

This was my recent experience flying from DUB on FR, after landing we were funneled through passport control and baggage claim with no way to stay in the gate area

Just booked an award trip to Tirane in May, and am mildly concerned about connections on the return flight. We arrive BER at 8:10 am on OS 223 and need to make UA 963 departing at 9:50 am. 1hr 40min seems tight, should I be concerned?

We have an even tighter connection (40min) in VIE to the inbound, but I'll post details in the proper thread.
