Fast Track T2 at FRA - companion?

On my upcoming boarding pass for an Iberia flight I see the Fast Track indicator, presumably due to OneWorld Sapphire status.my wife is a mere mortal and doesn’t have that indicator. Will she be able to go through Fast Track with me?

The entry to the security control at T2 is done by an automated gate/boarding card scanner. She can try to see if it flashes green and lets her through, but I doubt it.

The queues are annoying, but generally not disasterous at T2, except during peak hours (early mornings).

The IB Fast Track page doesn’t say anything about non-IB elites but I guess since you got the Fast Track indicator on your bp you fall under IB Gold rules. The page does say you can bring guests but not sure how it works in practice.

Thanks. I am familiar with the self-scanner gates. There usually seems to be someone dealing with cases where the scanner malfunctions, so I guess I will just ask. Fast Track benefit isn’t worth much if it is only part of your party

Happy to report that the agent at the automatic gates didn’t mind me guesting my +1 into the Fast Track line. Sadly Fast Track is a bit of a misnomer. It’s a shorter queue, but the whole process is still shockingly slow. I think they process about one passenger per minute through the nudeoscope.

That's pretty much FRA in a nutshell : slow no matter what you do. The worst European hub.

LHR and FRA compete for my #1 spot of most disliked hubs. While LHR comes with big fees and a generally unpleasant connection experiences, FRA does a really great job offering free airport tours courtesy of bus gates for most of my trips.

I really wish they had reimagined an entirely new airport instead of just adding T3.
