Museums in Munich
 

Hello I will be visiting the BMW museum next weekend and look forward to it. Don't worry I won't ask what train to take I already figured it out :D

Anyway, can anyone recommend a good science and technology and museum regarding the 3rd Reich (if such exists) to see as well?

There are so e museums about the 3rd Reich, but I'm not aware about one which is especially about the technology or science (science in the 3rd Reich is often a black chapter). Nevertheless the Deutsche Museum should have something on diisplay.

Deutsches Museum is the tech&science museum, but has no specific reference to 1993-45 as such. Their branches in Schleisheim and Theresienwiese have tons of exhibits on the massive German technological & manufacturing developments in the 20s and 30s that eventually enabled Germany to start WWII. Most museums (like BMW) have a section detailling the forced labor that German industry used during the war.

As it's pure fiction, it's not really popular at museums.

Did the Deutsche Museum with some visiting family this weekend, they seem to keep things very neutral with no reference to the political enviroment. What struck me was the super intricate detail with which everything is explained, for example they show the development of the rocket technology leading upto the V2, then how the V2 rocket itself was built with various alloys and then how they solved the navigation element etc etc. So you can walk past and say 'oh look the V2' or delve deep into the topic.

I bought a ticket for 11 am Friday. I'm excited.

One of the best museums out there. Absolutely amazed they had a ME-262, ME-163 Komet and a BF-109. So cool.

If you have an open day, take a train down to Friedrichshafen to visit the Zeppelin Museum. It’s a beautiful location directly on the Bodensee (Lake Konstanz).
