Digital Registration on Entry no longer required for visitors from the USA

It appears that, as of today, the United States is no longer considered a "risk area". This means that if you are flying to Germany from the US and have not visited any risk area countries, then you do not have to fill out the Digital Registration on Entry. I am flying ORD-MUC in a couple of days and when I started to fill it out I received the message:

You did not visit a risk area.

The country you've listed is not classified as a risk area.
Travellers aged 6 or over must, irrespective of the mode of transport or whether they spent time in a risk area, carry with them a negative test result or proof of vaccination or recovery when entering the country. Further information can be found on the website of the Federal Ministry of Health's website. You do not need to complete the Digital Registration on Entry.
You may now close the browser. Enjoy your stay!

See https://www.einreiseanmeldung.de/#/ to check other countries.

The United Kingdom is also off the high risk country list. Here's an article that describes it; sorry I cannot find an official source document.

Edit: Here is a pdf rom the Robert Koch Institute listing all of the countries removed from the high risk area yesterday.

Yes, since Monday a lot of countries were removed from the RKI list of high risk areas. As FC ORD already posted you can find the official list here https://www.rki.de/DE/Content/InfAZ/...ublicationFile

Does this include if you are transiting through AMS?

Denmark is still a high risk country but I don't know if transiting counts. Will you stay airside?

AMS isn’t in Denmark, though :)

I went to Germany in August and December. Never filled out the Digital Registration on Entry.

What are you trying to say?

- that you were not required at the time to fill out the digital registration? (AFAIK the rules changed a few times as the status of countries changed)

- that you were required to submit the registration, but for some reason chose not to fill out the registration, and no one noticed?

If you enter via land it's quite likely no one will ask for registration. For example in Italy I was never asked for it. Nevertheless I always did it to be save.
