Frankfurt day room?

Hello all, I am planning to make a very short visit to Frankfurt in early August 2021 and expect to arrive very early (0545) at Frankfurt airport. Given that I will be leaving the east coast of North America at 1600-ish local and so I will be landing around midnight in circadian time, I am thinking a day room for a few hours might be a good idea. (I plan to do some sightseeing in the afternoon.)

Can anyone recommend a Frankfurt hotel that reliably provides day rooms in a location reasonably convenient to the airport and trains? Thank you and have a great day!

In the past the
  • Hilton Frankfurt Airport
  • Hilton Garden Inn Frankfurt Airport
  • Sheraton Frankfurt Airport
offered rooms for the days use. You could book the Hilton by searching for check in and out at the same time. I have used the Hilton Frankfurt myself and also the Sheraton.

I have no personl experience with the newly opened
  • Marriott Frankfurt Airport
Both hotels are convenient connected to the railway station and terminal 1. If you are arriving in Terminal 2, you should contact the
  • Hampton Inn Frankfurt Airport
  • Elements Frankfurt Airport
  • Hyatt Place Frankfurt Airport
The Hampton offered day rooms as kind of "Business Room" in the past. I was able to check in at the Elements at 07:00 in the moring last August (so not actual) and it was an overnight stays, therefore not quite comparable. Not experience with the Hyatt Place. All three hotels are located next to the S-Bahn station "Gateway Gardens" with direct connections to the Frankfurt Main Station and the Frankfurt Airport Station.

If you are going to the city anyway, the HP is by far the most convenient option. That is unless you want to go Uber/taxi into the city (which I wouldn't as it doesn't save you any time).

As the HP is directly at the train station Gateway Gardens, the total amount of walking between terminal, hotel room and train will be minimized. You will have to do a lot more walking if staying at the Hilton or HGI (which are close to the long-distance train station but far from the local train station) and somewhat more if staying at the Marriott or Sheraton.

Many thanks, 8mh and FLYGVA--I've decided to stay in one of the "Gateway Gardens"-area hotels: the "Moxy," a Marriott property. (The name and forced hipness annoy me, but frankly what doesn't these days?) Turns out, if one uses the corporate rate code "ZDY" when making a Marriott reservation, day use rates are displayed--I'm sure all the Flyertalk experts knew that, but it was news to me and seems to have worked like a charm. Thanks again.

The Moxy is not far from the train, either (the train is called the "S-Bahn"). As you exit the Moxy, walk across the street into that little park. The station is almost straight ahead, it's a walk of 1 or 2 minutes.

A day pass good for unlimited rides in Frankfurt city and the airport area which includes all local trains, subways, and local busses costs EUR 9.75. A single ride between airport (or Gateway Gardens) and the city costs EUR 5.00. A single ride for the short three-minute hop between Gateway Gardens and FRA's regional train station is EUR 1.50 (select "short-distance" ticket).

While I've never stayed at the Moxy personally, I've seen their shuttle bus making the rounds. I'd probably still take the train as it runs 5-6 times per hour and is faster than the courtesy shuttle.
