Covid test Berlin Tegel?
Hello, has anyone an idea of how this works at the airport and how long results take? I will be travelling from France, but will have been in Spain during the 14 days prior to landing in Berlin.

The Covid test facility is located next to the bus stop between Terminals A and B. There is some signage outside Terminal A showing the way. I walked past last Friday around noon and saw a line of 10 people waiting, and staff on full protective equipment - I don't know whether there were more people waiting inside. As far as I know the test is free, but there is some debate in Berlin now about starting to charge it, so this might change in the future.
Since yesterday evening Paris (and the whole of Īle-de-France) joined the red list of the Robert-Koch Institut, so even if you came from here you'd have to get tested. |

You have to fill out a form on board the aircraft and hand it over on arrival. Then go for the test on site or somewhere suitable withing 72h.
There are more testing sites in TXL D now: https://www.berlin-airport.de/en/pre...al-d/index.php Testing is supposedly free: https://www.berlin-airport.de/en/pre...feld/index.php |
Really helpful info. Thank you very much.

Do we have any news on Germany's new approach? Will the airport tests be stopped?
|
I heard TXL is overloaded anyway and Drosten recommnended to stop them to free labo time.
But with the press conference of yesterday the airport test will not be stopped, however a negative result means you should still go in quarantine for 5 days. |
