1 hour connection at FRA

I'm arriving on UA 58, which has been parking at the V bus gate.
Need to go to gate B10.

Any suggestions?

Pray that it arrives early? FRA is one place I would not like a 1 hr connection.

Looking at Flightradar it seems to have arrived early the past few days so hopefully you will be fine.

Yes, I have been following it.
I've never done a transfer to the B gates before, and was wondering the best and fastest way to do it.
Also, if anyone knows, is B10 a bus gate also?

B10 ist a regular gate (some normal, non-bus gates at FRA can double as bus gates--not sure if this is the case for B10).

Your connection is not so problematic IMO. Use the tunnel.

Thannks
I was looking online, watched a video and saw the tunnel.
I have to go through security at the b gates, is that correct?

Nope, no security.

Again, I do think this isn't as bad as it seems. UA58 hasn't had so great punctuality stats over the past 30 days, though (or is it 60 days what Expertflyer reports?). But this may have been a bit of an exception (quite extreme weather situation in FRA in the last few weeks). Usually, a flight such as UA58 should be relatively reliable on arrival.

Parking at a bus gate on time is not the same as parking at the terminal on time. You just don't exit the aircraft, get on a bus and go. Gotta wait for the bus to fill up. Also, where are you sitting in the plane? Ideally you want to be on the first bus and definitely not the last bus as you have to wait for stragglers.

Gates at FRA are not pre-determined. UA58 could be at another gate, and there is no fixed reason for you to depart from B10. Is this on one ticket?

Do you regularly fly long-haul through FRA?

This is a widebody arriving in the morning scheduled to depart less than 3 hours later. It rarely gets a bus gate. It's monsters-under-the-bed syndrome (MUBS) to expect a bus gate.

Update

We landed at 9:18, and parked a V120. The bus picked us up at 9:28, it took about 10 minutes to get the the terminal. No line at passport control, took the tunnel to the B gates, got there 1hour before departure. The second flight was a bus to plane also .
offerendum and Silver Fox like this.

Twice a month for the past 5 years. During the initial years I despised FRA but I have come to terms with my issues and now appreciate the gateway to Europe that FRA represents. I actually don't mind remote gates but what I can't recall is whether they use both front and rear doors to load/unload wide bodies as I am usually sitting in the front half of the aircraft and just follow masses.

I have to acknowledge I stand corrected on the issue of UA58 getting an apron position. It looks as if it getting an apron position once again today.
