Incident (not Attack) at Check in FRA Airport

It seems that some people have been injured in an attack at Frankfurt airport:

IF it was an attack.....
https://web.de/magazine/panorama/flu...nfall-32523208

The newspapers are full about this "incident", which normally should not even get attention at the local press.....

Tomorrow 6 people at a check-in counter at FRA Terminal 1 complained about streaming eyes and Irritation of the airways. FRA closed a few counters and the fire department was alarmed. They did measurments but anything was in normal range. The counters were opened again, the 6 people were treated by a doctor and no further problems arised.

Our German moron-paper "Bild" claimed a bottle collector sprayed irritant gas. Airport itself claims reason is still unclear, could be some kind of attack (they talk about a bad joke), mistake or a technical failure. The federal police informed there are further investigations but they donīt see any criminal intent.

Thatīs the sensational story....

Ah sorry, it looks like it's almost fake news. It came in while I was sitting on the train to Sion, Switzerland. At the same time, there had been a train accident at Andermatt in the Alps, which was actually a lot more serious, with 31 injured. I thought the Frankfurt incident was more important than it actually is.

A 74 yr old collecting bottles (for claiming the deposit) accidentally discharged the pepper spray he had with him at the airport.

The legal situation for pepper spray possession is very varied within the EU. Is the German rule for pepper spray possession in Germany still tied to age of the person?

You know, I wish Germany would get rid of that stupid Pfand system. It's a waste of time, waste of energy, waste of money, waste of everything. The Swiss had the sense to get rid of it before the turn of the century, thank heavens, and life is so much better without it.
